Building a power house that connects Business and IT
Imagine a world where IT surprises are a distant memory. Where business decisions are seamlessly translated into technology solutions, and vice versa. Today, many challenges arise from misaligned business and IT decisions that can lead to missed opportunities, operational disruptions and frustration. To avoid this, it is important to understand all dependencies between business processes and IT execution to assess the associated effects across all company levels, departments and employees. In this session, we will show you how to recognize and understand the correlations with the help of our solutions, and how you can solve them with an agile approach.
Maturing Enterprise Architecture using LeanIX
I remember Tony (IT CIO) asking me what my 30-60-90 day plan would look like on the second day after I joined Five9. He explained to me how his lean IT team of < 100 has done amazing feat of standing up various IT services and oh, btw, we work mostly in the cloud. That was music to my ears. But soon I realized the nuance of SaaS proliferation – integrations were a pain. IT was on top of their game but a simple question like – “how many apps does IT own and support” resulted in multiple answers, some ballpark, some ranges, etc. I knew we were starting from scratch when it came to EA practice. Come one year anniversary, we have cataloged over 180+ apps, 98% of portfolio being SaaS based but it supports business architecture for most Business Units with 3 level capability hierarchy, all documented in LeanIX. Oh, btw we also matured by establishing our Architecture Governance model for high profile projects as well as improved fluency across enterprise around EA value add and be more strategic when creating solutions for the enterprise.

PCI Planning & Compliance using LeanIX
Concora Credit is a service provider for banks focusing on helping non-prime consumers gain access to credit. We’ve been in business for 20+ years and have helped millions of customers Do More with Credit every day. Therefore, compliance with this Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is critical for protecting our customers’ data and maintaining the confidence of our business partners. At Concora Credit, LeanIX plays a critical role in achieving and maintaining PCI compliance. We use LeanIX to track applications that handle Cardholder Data (CHD) and manage the overall compliance process. We use LeanIX diagrams to identify where CHD is transmitted and exchanged. We make these diagrams available to internal and external auditors so they can verify that the applications that handle CHD are PCI-compliant. We also use LeanIX data and process diagrams to identify systems that must be checked for PCI compliance. This session will introduce Concora Credit and PCI DSS and illustrate how LeanIX can be used to maintain PCI 3.21 compliance and prepare for PCI 4.0.
