Building a power house that connects Business and IT

Imagine a world where IT surprises are a distant memory. Where business decisions are seamlessly translated into technology solutions, and vice versa. Today, many challenges arise from misaligned business and IT decisions that can lead to missed opportunities, operational disruptions and frustration. To avoid this, it is important to understand all dependencies between business processes and IT execution to assess the associated effects across all company levels, departments and employees. In this session, we will show you how to recognize and understand the correlations with the help of our solutions, and how you can solve them with an agile approach.

Paving the Way to Digitalization

Transparency at various levels and layers is crucial for an efficient evolution of Siemens Healthineer’s (SHS) landscape. Architecture Management helps to keep pace with upcoming business challenges, new customer needs and related transformation.

In this session we are going to share experiences and insights on how Enterprise Architecture (EA) at SHS is maximizing business value, by creating a space for architecture communities, motivating to work together, and establishing an architecture way of working. Explore how SHS is scaling EA across the whole company to shape the future landscape from a strategic point of view. Furthermore, you will get an idea about what can be part of an Enterprise Architecture Ecosystem to make strategy happen by having the right stakeholders on board for this journey!

For this talk, you will be part of our transformation journey in the Product Lifecycle domain. Learn how we at SHS bring buzzwords like Enterprise Architecture Core Concept, Business Capabilities, and Architecture@Scale to reality to enable realizing Digital Twins and Closed Loop Manufacturing in end-to-end business processes. We will demonstrate how some of those buzzwords in combination with our EA Ecosystem are supporting us in mastering challenges in complex transformations.

Hey Mercedes, take me to LeanIX!

Our roadtrip from a previous EA repository to LeanIX. We will stop at the meta model, migration of data and integration of essential other systems (like ServiceNow). We will look into several dead ends during the transition process. And we chart the way to the target architecture in LeanIX as the standard tool for all of our architects on the road. Celebrating that we have reached our destination.

EAM @CARIAD supports the transformation of automotive mobility

CARIAD is the software company for the VW Group. With our unified software platform, we aspire to create a tech stack for automated driving and connected vehicles that makes automotive mobility safer, more comfortable, more sustainable, and opens new digital business models. To manage this from an enterprise architectural point of view, we need to (1) align the CARIAD architecture with the Group, (2) bring together the different work methods within CARIAD from cars to mobility services, and (3) make sure that one specific domain’s governance and planning aspects can also be addressed. It will be shown how we establish the connection and thus transparency within these 3 areas organizationally and in LeanIX for our software development.
